Located in the center of Périgord, Périgueux (prefecture) is an ideal base for exploring the whole region. A city steeped in history, it was founded over 2000 years ago. It has more than 40 monuments classified in its districts dating from different eras: Gallo-Roman and Medieval-Renaissance.
